Titan

Interesting facts
  • Titan, Saturn’s largest natural satellite, is larger than the planet Mercury (although it has less mass).
  • Titan is the only moon in our solar system with a thick atmosphere.
  • Titan is also the only object other than Earth known to have pools of liquid on its surface.  However, Titan’s lakes contain liquid methane, not water.
  • Titan is the most distant body upon which humankind has landed a surface probe.
